Batam University holds an International Seminar entitled "Tourism
Economics and Career Development Prospects in Industry 4.0". The seminar
was held at the Hall of W Building in Tembesi Campus, Putera University, Batam.
The seminar was held at 14.00 until 17.00 pm. In this seminar, the committee
presented speakers from Malysia, Singapore and Indonesia (Ms. Nurul Aimi
Razali, Mr. Benson Mah and Head of Bapelitbangda Batam Mr. Wan Darusalam).
Participants who attended this event were approximately 560 people consisting
of Students, Lecturers, Alumni of Putera Batam University and general
participants.
The purpose of this
seminar is to see the economic potential of tourism and career development
prospects in the era of Industry 4.0. This seminar also serves as a forum to
develop the English language skills of students and tourism technology which
has enormous potential in driving the economy of Indonesia and the world.
Seminar
participants were very enthusiastic in participating in this activity. This is
evidenced by the existence of question and answer between participants and speakers
are very interactive. With this International seminar, students are expected to
be better able to apply English in their daily lives and be able to compete in
the world of work in the era of industry 4.0 (ARP)
